Leaving Indelible Imprints from Their Gifts For Life
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, not even to death. They continue to participate in every thought, action and decision we make. Their love for all of us leaves an indelible imprint in our memories and we find comfort and joy in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their Gift of love. We know they love us because they gave the last valuable Gift they could…themselves. It is our duty to honor that Gift and deliver its rewards to each person we meet in our continued life. For you see, this Gift was not their last gift but the beginning of their Gift for Life."

The Gifts for Life Program (GFLP) a non-profit organization, is committed to excellence in Medical Research and Health Science Education. The study of gross human anatomy has always been an essential element in the training of health care providers such as physicians, dentists, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, occupational therapists and other allied health science professionals. In recent years the demand for the cadaver-based courses in human anatomy has expanded as more and more professional schools list such courses as an admission requirement. The need for human remains has also increased due to resurgence in basic science research and post graduate medical health education. This need for human cadaver donations cannot be more imperative than in the state of Hawaii. Gifts For Life was established in order to facilitate these donations and is staffed with licensed funeral directors and embalmers.
